Job summary

Belgravia Leisure is seeking enthusiastic Duty Managers to join NSW Whitlam Leisure Centre in Liverpool. Casual and part-time shifts include mornings, evenings and weekends, with a focus on safety, customer service and smooth operation of pools, health club and facilities.

You will lead teams, ensure water quality, and act as Centre Manager on shift during incidents. Lifeguard certification and police check are required; training and career development available.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership experience and ability to inspire others.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and customer service focus.
• Understanding of OHS and public safety within a facility.
• Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Current First Aid (Level 2) & CPR Certification.
• National Police Check completed.
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
• Current Pool Operations Certificate is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety and enjoyment of all facility areas including customer services, pools and the health club.
• Manage pool plant systems and ensure water quality principles are followed.
• Act as Centre Manager on shift when incidents or emergencies occur.
• Lead by example, stay calm under pressure and maintain high service standards.
• Interact effectively with a diverse patron base of varying ages and abilities.

This is a great opportunity for qualified, friendly and skilled Duty Managers to join the team and ensuring that all areas within the facility, are a safe and an enjoyable environment.

The Role

We are currently looking for enthusiastic, reliable and friendly Duty Managers to join the team both casually and part time. Our Duty Managers are responsible for ensuring that all areas within the facility, from customer services, pools and the health club are a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons. They are also responsible for pool plant systems which requires technical knowledge of plant rooms and water quality principles. While on shift, the duty manager will have the acting authority of the Centre Manager when dealing with incidents or emergency response.

This role requires an individual who is a leader and can keep cool under pressure. You should be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun. You will need outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensure our patrons safely enjoy their visit every time.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with patrons that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs. Lifeguard experience required and variety of evening shifts during the week.
