LagardèreAWPL Travel Retail is seeking a Duty Manager to support the General Manager in leading day-to-day operations across our Sunshine Coast Airport venues. You will oversee multi-outlet dining concepts, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and drive operational standards and commercial performance.

The role requires hospitality or high-volume retail supervisory experience, strong leadership, and a commercial mindset for labour planning and metrics.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Handle customer escalations professionally and maintain good airport stakeholder relations.

The Role

LagardèreAWPL operates a growing multi-venue Food & Beverage portfolio at Sunshine Coast Airport, with a diverse mix of café, bar, grab-and-go and quick-service concepts and further developments underway.

As Duty Manager, you will support the General Manager in leading day-to-day operations across this dynamic environment, working closely with the wider management team to deliver strong service, operational standards and commercial performance.

What You'll Do

• Leading day to day operations across multiple outlets, ensuring our venues consistently deliver exceptional guest experiences while maintaining strong operational standards.
• Oversee daily service delivery, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to brand and service standards.
• Lead supervisors and frontline teams during service, managing staffing on shift and resolving operational challenges in real time.
• Maintain commercial accountability for the day's performance, monitoring sales, labour, and operational metrics to ensure targets are achieved.
• Support revenue performance through effective labour deployment, workflow optimisation, and a strong focus on customer service.
• Ensure compliance with WHS, food safety, RSA, and all relevant airport operational requirements.
• Manage customer escalations professionally while maintaining positive relationships with key airport stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

• Experienced in hospitality, food service, or high-volume retail environments at a supervisory or management level.
• Proven ability to manage multiple teams or outlets, with strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Commercially minded with experience in labour planning, cost control, and operational metrics.
• Airport or multi-venue hospitality experience is a plus.
• Valid ASIC (or ability to obtain), RSA, and Food Safety certification.
