Job summary

LagardèreAWPL is hiring a Duty Manager to support the General Manager in leading day-to-day operations across a dynamic Sunshine Coast Airport multi-venue Food & Beverage portfolio. You will work with the management team to uphold service standards and drive commercial performance.

You will oversee staffing, service delivery, and operational metrics while ensuring compliance with WHS, food safety, RSA, and airport requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, food service, or high-volume retail at supervisory/management level.
• Ability to manage multiple teams/outlets with strong leadership and decision-making.
• Commercial awareness with labour planning, cost control, and operational metrics.
• Airport or multi-venue hospitality experience is a plus.
• Valid ASIC, RSA, and Food Safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations across multiple outlets, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and strong standards.
• Oversee service delivery, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to brand standards.
• Lead supervisors and frontline teams during service, managing staffing and resolving issues on shift.
• Monitor daily performance, labour, and metrics to achieve targets.
• Support revenue through optimal labour deployment and customer service focus.
• Ensure compliance with WHS, food safety, RSA, and airport requirements.
• Manage customer escalations and maintain relationships with airport stakeholders.

The Role:

LagardèreAWPL operates a growing multi-venue Food & Beverage portfolio at Sunshine Coast Airport, with a diverse mix of café, bar, grab-and-go and quick-service concepts and further developments underway.

As Duty Manager, you will support the General Manager in leading day-to-day operations across this dynamic environment, working closely with the wider management team to deliver strong service, operational standards and commercial performance.

What You’ll Do:

• Leading day to day operations across multiple outlets, ensuring our venues consistently deliver exceptional guest experiences while maintaining strong operational standards.
• Oversee daily service delivery, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to brand and service standards.
• Lead supervisors and frontline teams during service, managing staffing on shift and resolving operational challenges in real time.
• Maintain commercial accountability for the day’s performance, monitoring sales, labour, and operational metrics to ensure targets are achieved.
• Support revenue performance through effective labour deployment, workflow optimisation, and a strong focus on customer service.
• Ensure compliance with WHS, food safety, RSA, and all relevant airport operational requirements.
• Manage customer escalations professionally while maintaining positive relationships with key airport stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experienced in hospitality, food service, or high-volume retail environments at a supervisory or management level.
• Proven ability to manage multiple teams or outlets, with strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Commercially minded with experience in labour planning, cost control, and operational metrics.
• Airport or multi-venue hospitality experience is a plus.
• Valid ASIC (or ability to obtain), RSA, and Food Safety certification.
