Job summary

Ant Hill Hotel in Far North Queensland is seeking a Duty Manager to oversee bar, gaming and customer experience, leading from the front during busy periods. This role offers a hands-on leadership position in a unique rural pub destination with community involvement.

You will work closely with venue leadership, manage shifts, ensure service excellence and uphold licensing and compliance standards across daily operations in a tropical setting.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality leadership experience within pubs, bars or gaming venues.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience leading teams during busy service periods.
• Confident with cash handling, banking and end-of-night procedures.
• Strong operational and compliance focus.
• RLMV & Approved Managers License, RSA & RSG essential.
• Ability to work shifts including days, nights and weekends.

  About the Role

  Working closely with the venue leadership team, you'll help oversee day-to-day operations across the bar, gaming and customer experience while leading from the front during busy service periods.

  What We're Looking For
