Job summary

Bracken Ridge Tavern, a busy northside venue, seeks a Duty Manager to support the Venue Manager in daily operations and regulatory compliance. You’ll supervise Bar, Gaming, Restaurant and Function areas while ensuring strict liquor and gaming compliance and delivering exceptional guest service.

Join a family-owned, 40+ year established Brisbane pub with a strong local following. The role requires 2+ years as Duty Manager, RSA/RSG/RMLV licences, and flexibility for weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Duty Manager in a hotel or club.
• Strong knowledge of Gaming including TAB and Keno and F&B operations.
• Current RSA, RSG, RMLV and Approved Manager licences.

Responsibilities

Bracken Ridge Tavern is a busy northside multifaceted venue that has just undergone a $10 million dollar full renovation. We have been family owned and operated for over 40 years.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Duty Manager to support our Venue Manager in delivering exceptional day-to-day operations. You’ll ensure the venue runs smoothly, efficiently and in full compliance with all liquor and gaming regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

Overseeing operational areas including Bar, Gaming, Restaurant and Function areas

Ensuring full compliance with liquor, gaming, and regulatory requirements at all times

Working closely with the management team to ensure seamless operations

Cash handling and banking reconciliations

Providing exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction, including managing feedback, enquiries and complaints in a professional manner

Supporting rostering, stock control and operational efficiency initiatives

Motivating and developing staff, enabling an inclusive productive and happy team

Work Type:

Full Time salaried position, including weekends and closes.

About You

You are a motivated and reliable hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and leads by example.

You will bring:

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Duty Manager in a hotel or club

Strong knowledge of Gaming including TAB and Keno and F&B operations and related compliance

Excellent communication skills with high attention to detail

Proven ability to lead teams and manage busy service periods

Availability to work flexible rotating rosters, including mids / closes / weekends and public holidays
