Job summary

The Calile Hotel in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to join its leadership team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you will lead daily hotel operations across the Rooms Division and drive exceptional guest experiences with a hands-on, collaborative approach.

You will mentor and empower team members, uphold service standards, manage procedures and financial processes, and work with departments to achieve brand integrity and performance goals.

The Position

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Duty Manager to join our leadership team on a full-time basis. As a key operational leader, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional guest experiences, supporting team success, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the hotel.

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Lead daily hotel operations and support team members across the Rooms Division.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences, including effective service recovery and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with key departments to ensure operational excellence and brand standards are maintained.
• Support hotel procedures, compliance requirements, and financial processes.
• Contribute to hotel performance targets, guest satisfaction outcomes, and team success.

More About You

• Previous experience in a luxury hotel or premium hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and hands-on approach.
• Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with Opera Cloud is advantageous.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach and professional presentation standards.
• Flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays, and shift work.
