Job summary

Terrigal Bowling Club on NSW Central Coast is seeking a hands-on Duty Manager to lead service, bar, and gaming operations. You will supervise staff, manage cellar and inventory, ensure WHS compliance, training, and deliver exceptional guest experiences; NSW OLGR RSA/ARCG/RCG competencies are mandatory; 2+ years supervisory hospitality leadership preferred; weekend and night shifts required.

Qualifications

• NSW OLGR Competency Cards for RSA, ARCG & RCG are mandatory.
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience in hospitality.
• Hospitality management qualifications or working towards them.
• Immaculate personal presentation and conduct.
• Knowledge of compliance with relevant legislations in CLUB/HOSPITALITY.
• Proven managerial experience in club or service industry.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical and reporting skills.
• Availability to work days, nights and weekends.
• Experience in conflict resolution and performance management of employees.
• Computer literacy including IGT gaming, spreadsheets, word processing, POS systems and membership databases.
• Strong knowledge of TAB, Keno, gaming machines, bar and cellar operations.

Club Terrigal Bowling Club is located on the NSW Central Coast and 1 hour North of Sydney. The Club’s facilities include 3 Bowling Greens a Bistro/Restaurant, alfresco areas, TAB, KENO, Sports Bar, and lounge area. The Club has 30 EGM’s and a membership base of 3,000. The Board has established strong community relationships supporting multiple sporting and community groups within the area and prides itself for being ‘where the locals come to eat drink and play’.

Reporting directly to the General Manager & Administration Operations Manager, the successful applicant for the role of Duty Manager will be proficient in and responsible for:

Opening and Closing procedures

Staff Supervision and Appraisals

Cellar and Inventory Management

Staff Training

Bar Service

Gaming Machine and IGT Gaming system knowledge welcomed

WH&S and Compliance

Setting the benchmark for customer service

The role would suit a person who is wanting to progress their career and may currently be working as a supervisor, or a more seasoned manager who wishes to bring their experience to the role or maybe looking for a chance to relocate to the Central Coast.

Mandatory requirements include:

NSW OLGR Competency Cards for RSA, ARCG & RCG

Minimum 2 years Supervisory experience

Hospitality Management qualifications, or the desire to work towards achieving it

Immaculate personal presentation and conduct

To be considered for this hands-on role, applicants will be expected to be highly visible within all areas of the Club, lead the team by example and demonstrate;

Knowledge of compliance with relevant legislations: Registered Clubs Act, Liquor Act & Gaming Regulations, WH&S, Industrial relations and AML CTF Act.

Demonstrated Club or Service industry experience at a managerial level

Exceptional leadership, communication, analytical and reporting skills

Availability to work days, nights and weekends

Proven experience in conflict resolution and performance management of employees

Computer literacy, including IGT gaming, spread sheets, word processing, ideal POS and IGT membership database.

Superior knowledge of TAB, Keno, gaming machines, bar and cellar operations
