Job summary

Allcott Hire in Alexandria NSW is seeking a Driver/Yard Person to safely deliver and collect equipment and to perform essential yard duties. You will play a key role in stock control and equipment maintenance while delivering excellent customer service to our extensive customer base.

You will need a safe driving history, good communication and the ability to handle after-hours and weekend work. A can‑do attitude and reliable teamwork are essential to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Must have a safe driving record and operate Hi-Ab vehicles, trucks and trailers.
• Strong customer service attitude and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including after-hours and weekends.
• Experience with stock control and yard duties is preferred.
• Ability to load, restrain and transport a variety of plant and equipment.
• Attention to paperwork accuracy and attention to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely and responsibly drive vehicles to deliver and collect equipment for customers.
• Load and unload equipment using appropriate equipment.
• Perform yard duties including stock control and equipment maintenance.
• Provide excellent customer service and liaise with customers for satisfaction.

Job description

This is a full-time role based in Alexandria NSW, with Allcott Hire, a leading provider of equipment and services in the Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics industry. As a Driver/Yard Person, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our equipment hire business.We are seekingan enthusiasticdriver/yardperson whois motivated, organised and demonstrates with a \"Can Do\" attitude to all tasks undertaken. Great communication, planning and forward-thinking skills are a must, as our drivers are the \"Face of our Company\" whilst delivering our equipment to our extensive customer base.

What you'll be doing

• Safely and responsibly driving vehicles to deliver and collect equipment for customers
• Loading and unloading equipment and materials using appropriate equipment
• Performing yard duties such as stock control, inventory management and equipment maintenance
• Providing excellent customer service and liaising with customers to ensure their satisfaction
• Assisting with general yard operations and contributing to a safe work environment

What we're looking for

• The safe and competent operation of Hi-Ab vehicles, trucks, trailers with manual synchro transmissions.
• Assist with yard duties
• The ability to competently load, restrain, transport, and unload a variety of plant and equipment
• A safe, clean driving history.
• Sound written and literacy skills for the accurate completion of paperwork.
• Good communication skills and Customer Service Skills. Good telephone manner
• Flexibility in relation to hours worked (after hours and weekend work available)
