Job summary

Four Seasons Nursery & Garden Centre in Belrose, NSW is seeking a reliable Driver/Yardsman on a casual basis. You will operate company vehicles to deliver plants and garden supplies and assist with yard organisation in a busy warehousing and distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Current, valid driving licence with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a driver or in a similar yard/warehouse role.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry heavy items regularly.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices in warehousing and transport environments.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver plants, garden supplies and materials to customers and sites.
• Perform pre-delivery and post-delivery vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Load and unload vehicles safely using appropriate equipment.
• Maintain delivery records and documentation.
• Secure and transport goods according to safety regulations.
• Assist with yard maintenance, organisation and cleanliness.
• Manage stock rotation and inventory in the yard.
• Follow health and safety protocols at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Report damage or discrepancies to management promptly.

Four Seasons Nursery & Garden Centre is seeking a reliable and hardworking Driver/Yardsman to join our team on a casual basis. This role is based in Belrose, NSW 2085 and is essential to our daily operations, ensuring smooth delivery and yard management. You will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently whilst maintaining our yard to the highest standards. This position offers flexibility and is ideal for someone seeking casual work in the warehousing, storage and distribution sector.

What you'll be doing

• Operating company vehicles to deliver plants, garden supplies and materials to customers and sites
• Performing pre-delivery and post-delivery vehicle inspections and reporting any maintenance issues
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely, using appropriate equipment and techniques
• Maintaining accurate delivery records and documentation
• Ensuring all goods are secured and transported in accordance with safety regulations
• Assisting with yard maintenance, organisation and cleanliness
• Managing stock rotation and inventory within the yard area
• Following health and safety protocols at all times
• Providing excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries
• Reporting any damage or discrepancies to management promptly
