Job summary

Lindsay Australia Group is expanding in North Queensland and seeks an HC driver to operate daily pick-up and delivery runs from Mackay to surrounding areas. You will load, secure and deliver freight, perform vehicle checks and maintain safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in pick-up and delivery or general freight operations.
• Safe driving record with commitment to safety and compliance.
• Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and fatigue management.
• Ability to safely load, unload and secure freight.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with electronic proof of delivery systems.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an HC vehicle to complete daily pick-up and delivery runs.
• Deliver freight on time and without damage.
• Load, unload and secure freight.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Follow road transport legislation, fatigue management and company procedures.
• Complete delivery documentation and electronic records.
• Provide professional customer service.
• Maintain a clean and roadworthy vehicle.
• Work with the operations team to deliver excellent service.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Confidence using electronic proof of delivery and transport system
• A reliable, professional attitude with a strong work ethic
• Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
