Job summary

Cleanaway is seeking a rear lift truck operator to join a small crew at our Brooklyn depot. You will drive a rear lift truck, manually load/unload, perform daily prestart checks, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction while keeping the vehicle clean and well-presented.

Ideal candidates will hold an unrestricted HR Licence, be physically fit, and demonstrate a strong safety mindset with reliable teamwork and good communication.

Qualifications

• HR Licence (unrestricted) is required.
• Physically fit and able to work in a team.
• Professional presentation and communication.
• Good team attitude, reliable and eager to learn.
• Strong commitment to safety and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of rear lift trucks and equipment for bulk waste collection.
• Manual loading/unloading of waste with a small crew.
• Daily prestart checks and vehicle/equipment maintenance.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Keep vehicle presentation clean and professional.

The Opportunity

Based out of our Brooklyn depot, you will operate a rear lift truck while working in a small crew to complete hard waste collections, with a mix of driving and hands on loading.

• Safe operation of Rear Lift company vehicles and equipment for Bulk Waste Collection


• Manually loading and unloading truck working in a small team


• Daily prestart and maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment


• Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction


• Maintaining presentation of the vehicle, inside and out

About You

• An unrestricted HR Licence as a minimum


• Physically fit and willing to work as part of a team.


• A professional presentation and manner with great communication


• Good team attitude, reliable and willing to learn.


• A strong commitment to safety and Clean Driving record
