Job summary

Northline in Cairns is seeking casual Local Driver and Forklift Operator to support our busy regional operations. You’ll perform local pickups and deliveries, load and unload freight, and maintain a safe, organized yard with company assets.

Applicants must hold a current LF forklift licence; a HR or MR driver's licence is highly advantageous. You will work in a close-knit team and adapt to varying tasks as demand requires.

Qualifications

• Current Forklift Licence (LF) - required.
• Current HR or MR Driver's Licence - highly advantageous.
• Ability to manually handle freight up to 20kg.
• Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
• Positive attitude and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Local pickups and deliveries throughout Cairns metro area using company vehicles.
• Loading and unloading a variety of freight, including oversized and blended freight.
• Loading and unloading mezzanine trailers, linehaul trailers, local vehicles, and containers.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe yard and work environment.
