Job summary

Northline is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for the Morning Shift at the Sunshine West depot in Melbourne, VIC. The role is a permanent full-time position with a Tuesday–Saturday schedule, 6:00 am–2:00 pm (Sat 4:00 am–12:00 pm).

You will load, unload and handle freight safely to support Northline's national logistics network. Candidates should hold a valid LF forklift licence and have prior experience in a similar transport/logistics environment, with the ability to manage diverse

• Hold a valid Forklift Licence (LF).
• Experience operating a forklift in transport or logistics.
• Able to manually handle freight up to 20 kg.
• Experience loading/unloading various freight including long lengths.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload a range of general freight safely and efficiently.
• Handle mezzanine floor trailers, line-haul trailers, and containers.
• Ensure freight is loaded/unloaded with care to prevent damage.

Northline is currently seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our Morning Shift team at our Sunshine Westdepot.

Shift hours: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays6:00 am to 02:00 pm - Saturdays 4:00 am to 12:00 pm

About the Role

As a Forklift Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring freight is loaded, unloaded and handled safely and efficiently. Every day brings variety, challenge and the opportunity to contribute to the success of our operations.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Loading a range of general freight, including oversized, blended and long lengths;
• Loading and unloading mezzanine floor trailers, line-haul trailers, local vehicles and containers;

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Hold a valid Forklift Licence (LF);
• Have experience operating a Forklift in a similar environment or industry (Transport and Logistics);
• Have experience loading/unloading a variety of freight including oversized, ugly, long lengths, general and non-palletised freight;
• Be able to manually handle freight up to 20kgs.
