Job summary

Team Global Express is seeking an experienced MR Driver/Dockhand to join our Albury depot. This permanent, full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:06pm, performing local pickups and deliveries and assisting with loading and unloading freight using a forklift.

You will ensure freight is correctly labelled, secured and documented, maintain daily vehicle checks and provide friendly customer service as part of a safety-focused team at a leading Australian transport company.

Qualifications

• Current MR Driver’s Licence.
• Forklift (LF) licence required or in hand.
• Experience in pickup/delivery or freight transport is a plus.
• Strong focus on safety and load handling.

Job description

Team Global Express is looking for an experienced MR Driver/Dockhand to join our team in Albury, NSW.

This is a permanent full-time position, working Monday to Friday from 9am - 5:06pm.

In this role, you will be responsible for completing safe and efficient pickup and delivery of freight across the local area. You will also use a forklift to assist with loading and unloading freight as required.

What you’ll do

• Complete local pickups and deliveries of freight using an MR vehicle
• Assist with general dockhand duties, including sorting, scanning and moving freight around the depot
• Load and unload trucks safely using a forklift and other equipment as required
• Ensure freight is correctly labelled, handled and secured for transport
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any faults or issues.
• Assist with preparing freight for dispatch and organising incoming deliveries
• Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service.
• Follow all safety procedures and Chain of Responsibility requirements
• Work closely with the depot team to ensure smooth daily operations

What you’ll bring

• Current MR Driver’s Licence
• Current Forklift (LF) Licence
• Previous experience in pickup and delivery or freight transport will be highly regarded
• Good knowledge of safe loading, unloading and load restraint
• Strong focus on safety
• Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable with the physical requirements of the role
