Job summary

Global Express is seeking an experienced HR Driver to join our Gracemere Somerset team. This local pickup and delivery role serves customers across Gracemere and surrounding areas, with a Monday to Friday PM shift and a focus on safe, professional operations.

You will handle local routes, loading/unloading freight, and maintaining vehicle safety checks while delivering excellent service and reliability to customers.

Qualifications

• A current and valid HR licence – mandatory.
• Experience with local PUD, general freight or transport is preferred.
• Sound knowledge of load restraint and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
• Ability to load, unload and secure freight safely and efficiently.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete local pickups and deliveries across Gracemere and surrounding areas.
• Operate HR vehicles safely and professionally.
• Complete multi-drop deliveries and collections as required.
• Load and unload freight safely and efficiently.
• Ensure freight is correctly secured and transported per load restraint/CoR requirements.
• Complete vehicle pre-start inspections and daily checks.
• Complete delivery documentation, scanning and manifests accurately.
• Communicate effectively with Operations, customers and other drivers.
• Provide professional and reliable customer service at every delivery and collection.

Full-Time Permanent | Monday to Friday | PM Shift

Team Global Express is seeking an experienced HR Driver to join our Gracemere Somerset team.

This is a local pickup and delivery role, servicing customers across Gracemere and surrounding areas.

You’ll be responsible for completing local deliveries and pickups safely, efficiently and professionally while providing excellent service to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Complete local pickups and deliveries across Gracemere and surrounding areas
• Operate HR vehicles safely and professionally
• Complete multi-drop deliveries and collections as required
• Load and unload freight safely and efficiently
• Ensure freight is correctly secured and transported in accordance with load restraint and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and pre-start checks
• Complete delivery documentation, scanning and manifests accurately
• Ensure deliveries and pickups are completed within required timeframesCommunicate effectively with Operations, customers and other drivers
• Provide professional and reliable customer service at every delivery and collection

About you

• A current and valid HR licence – mandatory
• LF is a preference not a mandatory requirement
• Demonstrated commercial experience operating HR vehicles
• Previous local PUD, general freight or transport experience
• Sound knowledge of load restraint and Chain of Responsibility requirements
• Experience safely loading, unloading and securing freight
• Ability to complete vehicle pre-start inspections
• Good communication and customer-service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your delivery schedule
• Good level of physical fitness and ability to undertake manual handling
• Strong attention to safety
