Dahlsens Family Group of Companies in Cairns seeks a reliable Driver to deliver building materials to customers safely and on time. You will be part of our Transport & Logistics team, assisting with loading, unloading and stock deliveries while providing excellent service.

The role requires a valid HR licence, LF forklift licence, and a clean driving record; DG dogging is desirable. Local knowledge of Cairns is a plus, with a strong safety focus and teamwork emphasized.

Formación

• Minimum 3 years’ truck driving experience with a clean record.
• HR licence and LF forklift licence essential; DG dogging desirable.
• Physically fit and able to handle heavy building materials safely.
• Comfortable using computers and new systems; strong safety mindset.
• Good knowledge of Cairns and surrounding areas.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a positive, reliable Driver to deliver building materials to our customers safely and on time. You’ll be part of our Transport & Logistics team, helping load, unload and deliver stock while providing great service along the way.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

This role suits someone who is confident driving locally, enjoys working with people and is comfortable handling heavy building materials safely.

• Complete customer deliveries safely and on schedule

• Load, move and handle stock with care
• Provide friendly service to customers and team members
• Operate vehicles, plant and equipment safely
• Make sure products arrive secure and in good condition

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• At least 3 years’ truck driving experience and a clean driving record
• HR licence essential
• LF forklift licence essential
• DG dogging licence (desirable but not essential)
• Physically fit and able to safely handle goods
• Forklift experience, including tight spaces
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Confident using computers and learning new systems
• Strong focus on safety
• Good knowledge of Cairns and surrounding areas
