Job summary

Downhole Recruitment is seeking a motivated Driller's Offsider for entry-level FIFO work across Australian sites. You will support safe, efficient drilling operations, assist with equipment, and learn on the job through nationally recognised training. This role offers fast onboarding and real opportunities to progress within mining.

Roster options and weekly pay with super are available, with a strong focus on safety, teamwork and resilience in remote environments.

Qualifications

• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident is required.
• Manual fitness and resilience for remote drilling sites.
• Compliance with safety procedures and site rules.
• Basic training through Cert II/III in Drilling Operations will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the driller with safe, efficient drilling operations
• Manual handling of rods, tools, sample bags, core trays and core samples
• Cleaning, greasing, and maintaining equipment, keeping the rig area tidy
• Loading/unloading gear and supporting rig moves, set-up and pack-down
• Completing pre-start checks and following site safety systems and paperwork
• Working as part of a crew where reliability and teamwork matter every day

DRILLER'S OFFSIDER Looking for a Driller's Offsider ready to earn a real start in mining through drilling. This is a FIFO role with roster options, based on sites across the country. Drilling is hard, dirty, remote and physically demanding - one of the toughest jobs in the resources industry. The right candidate will have the attitude and work ethic to match, and we'll make sure they find a crew that backs them.
