Job summary

DDH1 Drilling is offering an entry-level Traineeship for a Driller's Offsider across New South Wales. You will gain a Certificate II in Drilling Operations while working on varied projects, including FIFO from Sydney with flights provided.

Applicants must be physically fit, hold a valid HR licence (or be willing to obtain), and pass pre-employment medical and police clearance. Induction based in Perth, WA.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid HR licence (unrestricted) or willing to obtain prior to starting.
• National Police Clearance within 12 months.
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical + drug & alcohol screen.
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate (HLTAID009 & HLTAID011).
• FIFO from any capital city in Australia (Induction based in Perth).
• Physically fit with manual labour for 12-hour shifts in remote, harsh conditions.
• Must be an Australian / New Zealand resident to apply.

Responsibilities

• Mobilise the rig from one set-up to another.
• Handle core – remove from tube, place in core boxes and label boxes.
• Handle drilling rods and core tubes.
• Mix drilling fluid additives.
• Clean equipment and maintain a tidy work area.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and repairs.

Work Locations: Projects across New South Wales and across the country – FIFO from Sydney (We pay for your flights)
Roster Options:2:1 or 4:2 (site & client dependent)
Work Types:A mix of client site and exploration projects (must be flexible, with both caravan & camp site accommodation).

Through our Driller’s Offsider Traineeship, you get paid while gaining valuable industry experience and your Certificate II in Drilling Operations.

DDH1 covers the cost of your certificate and future certifications in drilling, giving you qualifications for life and a stable long-term career path.

While you don’t need industry experience, the role of an Offsider is physically demanding and will see you working in all weather conditions. You need to be fit, enjoy working in the outdoors and have manual labour experience.

What we’re looking for:

• Must hold a valid HR- B drivers’ licence - Unrestricted (required) –or willing to obtain prior to starting
• National Police Clearance (within 12 months) (required)
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical + drug & alcohol screen (required)
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate (HLTAID009 & HLTAID011) (required)
• FIFO from any capital city in Australia (Induction based in Perth, WA)
• Physically fit with manual labouring expiring for 12-hour shifts in remote, harsh conditions
