Job summary

WorkPac are seeking experienced Drillers for ongoing opportunities at Clermont Mine. The role offers a competitive pay rate, flexible travel options, and the opportunity to work with a leading mining operation in the Bowen Basin.

Clermont Mine requires current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical, with the ability to pass pre-employment medicals and drug/alcohol screens. FIFO from Brisbane with a $50 flight contribution applies, or DIDO, plus camp accommodation and meals.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating production drill rigs in a mining environment.
• Experience on Bucyrus SKF and/or Sandvik DR412 drill rigs.
• Strong understanding of drill and blast operations.
• Current Standard 11.
• Current Coal Board Medical.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.
• Current Driver's Licence and full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Operate production drill rigs in open cut coal mining.
• Drill blast holes according to mine plans and production schedules.
• Perform pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks.
• Monitor drilling performance and report equipment issues.
• Maintain compliance with site safety standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with drill and blast teams to meet production targets.

What You Will Be Doing

• Operating production drill rigs in an open cut coal mining environment
• Drilling blast holes in accordance with mine plans and production schedules
• Conducting pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks
• Monitoring drilling performance and reporting equipment issues
• Maintaining compliance with site safety standards and operational procedures
• Working closely with drill and blast teams to achieve production targets

What You Will Need

• Previous experience operating production drill rigs in a mining environment
• Demonstrated experience on Bucyrus SKF and/or Sandvik DR412 drill rigs
• Strong understanding of drill and blast operations
• Current Standard 11
• Current Coal Board Medical
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
• Current Driver's Licence and full Australian working rights
