Job summary

Cordwell's Concrete in Queensland is seeking an experienced Dredge Driver to operate dredging equipment, support sand extraction and production, and ensure safe, efficient material handling.

You will perform pre-start checks, monitor pump pressures, and collaborate with quarry and maintenance teams while working outdoors in a dynamic environment.

This role requires hands-on capability, strong safety mindset, and the ability to work independently with a White Card and medical fitness.

Qualifications

• Experience operating dredges or similar heavy plant.
• Strong safety awareness and hazard identification.
• Ability to work around water, floating plant and pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate dredging equipment for sand extraction
• Monitor pump pressures, slurry flow, and dredge performance
• Maintain consistent material quality for production
• Conduct daily pre-start checks and report defects
• Follow safe work procedures and site rules
• Work collaboratively with quarry, plant, and maintenance teams
• Maintain clean, organised work areas
• Support environmental and water-management controls
