Job summary

Marble Group in regional Victoria (30 minutes from Geelong) is seeking a hands-on Quarry Operator to help keep haul roads and work areas safe and well maintained.

You will operate the water cart, support dust suppression and road safety, and work closely with maintenance and management. 6:30am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with some Saturday work as required.

Qualifications

• HC licence is required.
• MC licence preferred.
• Must be physically fit and able to work outdoors year-round.
• Reliable and safety-conscious with good housekeeping habits.

Responsibilities

• Operate the water cart across the quarry site.
• Support dust suppression and maintain safe road conditions for the crew.
• Collaborate with operators, maintenance and site management.
• 6:30am start, 4:30pm finish, Monday to Friday with some Saturday work.

The role

You'll be stepping into a steady operating role, keeping the site's haul roads and work areas under control.

Your day will include:

• Operating the water cart across the quarry site
• Supporting dust suppression and safe road conditions for the wider crew
• Working closely with fellow operators, maintenance and management
• A 6.30am start and a 4.30pm finish Monday to Friday, some Saturday work as required

Your value

You'll ideally bring experience from quarry, mining, civil or heavy earthmoving environments, along with:

• HC licence required (MC licence preferred)
• Strong communication skills and a team-minded approach
• Good attitude towards safety, housekeeping and following site procedures
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors year-round
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and D&A testing
