Qualifications

• Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in open cut coal mine planning, Dragline operations.
• Proficiency in mining software such as Deswik, 3D Dig or SPRY.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Results-driven with a focus on safety, efficiency and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the Dragline planning team to deliver safe, efficient Dragline plans and schedules.
• Develop and deliver optimised Dragline designs and sequences.
• Coach, develop and mentor team members in Dragline planning best practice.
• Monitor and drive action for dig-to-design compliance.
• Work with operations teams to ensure plans are practical and achievable.
• Communicate planning outcomes clearly to production and execution teams.
• Contribute to incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build cross-functional relationships across planning and operations.
