Job summary

Australian Drafting & Design Pty Ltd in Brisbane is seeking an experienced AutoCAD/Inventor Drafter for a full-time contract role. You will prepare, update and modify mechanical, fabrication and manufacturing drawings, and create detailed fabrication drawings and DXF files for suppliers.

The ideal candidate has strong AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor experience, plus mechanical or fabrication drafting background.

Qualifications

• Strong AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor experience.
• Mechanical or fabrication drafting experience.
• Experience with sheet metal and fabricated components.
• Ability to prepare accurate manufacturing and fabrication drawings.
• Experience creating and exporting DXF files.
• Good understanding of workshop and fabrication practices.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with engineers and project personnel.
• Experience within mining, heavy industry, mechanical equipment, fabrication or machinery would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, update and modify mechanical, fabrication and manufacturing drawings.
• Assist with new designs and drawing revisions.
• Produce detailed fabrication drawings.
• Update existing drawings and prepare documentation for manufacture.
• Create DXF files for suppliers.
