Job summary

Netco Pumps Pty Ltd in Hobart is seeking a motivated Draftsperson to support sales, operations and production. You will translate concepts into workshop drawings and support the production team throughout manufacturing.

Based at Austral's Derwent Park office, you will use Autodesk Inventor, liaise with customers and sales to capture project requirements, and help drive workshop efficiency with the team. Strong English, Australian work rights, and detail orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Engineering Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience using Autodesk Inventor and strong mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Australian work rights to work permanently in Australia.
• Attention to detail with proactive problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to manage other draftsmen and multiple priorities to deadlines.
• Desirable: experience in fabrication or manufacturing environments.
• Desirable: knowledge of CNC routing, welding or related processes.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Draftsperson to support our sales, operations, and production teams. In this role you will take designs from concepts through to workshop drawings, being part of the process right through to supporting the production team in the manufacturing phase. This is an important role that contributes largely to the success of our projects and workshop efficiencies. This is a full-time role and will be based in Austral's Derwent Park office. You will be working as part of an established, but ever improving and growing team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist fabrication team with any issues that arise during production

About you
