Job summary

Alchemy All Metal Fabricators Pty Ltd in Cairns is seeking a motivated Draftsperson to join our team. This role goes beyond drafting, involving concept development, detailed shop drawings, renders and as-built documentation across construction, engineering and civil projects.

Based in Cairns City, you will support fabrication, manufacturing, installation and project delivery, with opportunities to take on more areas of the business as your skills grow.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of professional drafting experience using Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Trade background highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a hands-on mindset.
• Keen to learn, contribute and grow within a multidisciplinary team.
• Engineering students and recent graduates with relevant experience encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Producing and managing concepts, renders, shop drawings and as-builts.

Alchemy All Metal Fabricators is looking for a motivated Draftsperson to join the team in Cairns City. This role goes well beyond traditional drafting. You'll be involved in concept development, detailed shop drawings, renders and as-built documentation, while supporting fabrication, manufacturing, installation and project delivery across a wide range of construction, engineering and civil projects. If you enjoy practical, buildable design and want variety in your work, this is a chance to step away from a drafting-only role and gain exposure across the full project lifecycle. Depending on your skills and interests, you'll also have the opportunity to take on other areas of the business and help run it.
