Job summary

Anglicare Southern Queensland is seeking Service Support Workers to provide cleaning and home support to clients in the Toowoomba region. The role involves cleaning in clients' homes, following domestic care plans, and maintaining professional boundaries with clients and their families.

You will be expected to communicate clearly, work independently, and support elderly clients with dignity and respect. A current driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle are required, along with relevant police

About the Role:

We currently have Service Support Worker positions available to service clients in our Toowoomba region. Our workers provide invaluable support by providing cleaning support to our clients in their homes.

We are looking for applicants that have:

• Experience in cleaning
• Comfortable in the use of housekeeping equipment
• Able to follow domestic care plans
• Clear communicator who can maintain professional boundaries with clients and their families
• Demonstrated ability to be able to work independently and effectively with the elderly

The physical demands of this role will include standing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching etc.

• A Certificate II or III in Asset Maintenance (Cleaning Operations) will be highly regarded but not required

The following will be required of successful applicants:

• Current Driver Licence and your own reliable vehicle
• A current National Police Certificate
• Tetanus and Hepatitis B shots (or willingness to obtain)
