Job summary

HenderCare is seeking a casual Domestic Assistant to travel to clients' homes across Sydney. You will perform cleaning tasks, assist with meals and shopping, and help maintain a clean, hygienic living space aligned with each client's wishes.

The role requires at least 6 months of domestic cleaning experience, a valid Australian driver license with your own car, and checks including a National Police Check and a Working with Children Check. You must be able to work weekdays during daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Current National Police Check is required.
• Current Working with Children Check (Employee Type) required.
• At least 6 months domestic cleaning experience.
• Unrestricted Australian driver license with own vehicle and insurance.
• Comfortable driving in Sydney Metro and available Monday–Friday 9:00–17:00.
• Compassionate approach to elderly and/or disabled clients.

Responsibilities

• Travel to clients' homes to perform basic household tasks.
• Vacuuming, mopping, bathroom and toilet cleaning, bed-making, dishwashing, laundry, ironing.
• Assist with meal preparation and shopping as needed.
• Ensure homes are clean, hygienic and homely according to client needs.

About The Role

As a casual Domestic Assistant, you will be required to travel to clients homes to provide basic household services such as vacuuming, mopping, cleaning the bathroom and toilet, bed-making, dishwashing, laundry, ironing, hanging clothes out, assistance with meal preparation, and unaccompanied shopping. You will be responsible for ensuring that service recipients' homes are kept clean, hygienic, and homely according to the individual's needs and wishes.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Reliable smartphone compatible with AlayaCare App for roster access (iOS 15+ or Android 9+)
• Current National Police Check
• Current Working with Children's Check (Employee Type)
• Must have at least 6 months domestic cleaning experience
• Must have unrestricted Australian drivers license, your own vehicle and insurance
• Must be comfortable and able to drive in and around Sydney Metro
• Can work on a casual basis between Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
• Must have an understanding and willingness to support the elderly and people with a disability
