Job summary

Warrigal Care is hiring casual Home Services workers to help older people stay safe and comfortable at home. You will perform tasks from cleaning and laundry to meal prep and shopping, following care plans to support wellbeing.

The role blends independent work with a supportive team in the Southern Highlands region. You will use strong interpersonal skills and empathy to build trust with residents, while upholding Warrigal's values of innovation, respect, compassion and integrity, and

Qualifications

• Current First Aid certificate.
• Current Drivers Licence.
• Reliable car with comprehensive insurance.
• Empathy and commitment to the care of older people.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and written skills.
• Understanding of VVHS Responsibilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised.
• Committed to workplace equity.

• Previous aged care, disability support, cleaning or domestic assistance experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a range of domestic assistance services to older people in their homes.
• Assist with daily tasks including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation and shopping.
• Support safe, independent living and maintain quality home environments.
• Build positive relationships with customers and follow individual care plans.
• Work both independently and as part of a supportive team.

You will support older people to remain safe, independent and comfortable in their own homes by delivering a range of domestic assistance services.
Working across our Home Services team, you will assist customers with everyday household tasks that contribute directly to their wellbeing, comfort and quality of life. From cleaning, vacuuming and laundry to meal preparation, shopping and general household support, your work will help create clean, safe and welcoming home environments.
You will work independently while also being part of a supportive team, building positive relationships with customers and ensuring services are delivered safely, professionally and in line with individual care plans. Through your commitment to quality service and compassionate support, you will make a meaningful difference in the lives of older people throughout the community.
