Freedom Boat Club is seeking a Dockmaster across Sydney locations to welcome members, coordinate boat check-ins/outs, and keep marinas clean and presentation-ready.

No professional skipper is required, but hands-on experience with 6-8m boats is essential. This outdoor, weekend-friendly role offers flexible full-time, part-time, or casual hours and includes a heavily discounted staff membership.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming members to the marina and setting them up for a great day on the water
• Managing boat check-ins and check-outs using a handheld tablet or smartphone
• Preparing boats for departure by checking fuel, safety equipment, and cleanliness
• Keeping boats and marina spaces clean, tidy, and presentation-ready
• Carrying out basic vessel inspections and reporting any maintenance needs
• Helping coordinate servicing and maintenance with local vendors
• Managing reservations and creating a smooth dockside experience
• Chatting with members, sharing knowledge, and building great rapport
• Supporting events, boat shows, and community days to promote the club
• Assisting with simple admin tasks like reservation logs, fuel logs, and weather reports

Dockmaster (Full-time, Part Time and Casual available)

To support the continuing strong growth of our business across Sydney into our new locations we’re looking for energetic, friendly Dockmasters to join our Sydney based team and help deliver unforgettable boating experiences.
Positions open in fulltime, part time and casual capacity across Mosman, Rushcutters Bay, Pittwater and Bobbin Head.

This is a hands‑on, people‑facing role where no two days are the same. You’ll be right on the water, working with our boats, welcoming members, and being the friendly face of Freedom Boat Club.

What you’ll be doing
