Job summary

Rural Fire Service Queensland is seeking a District-level leader to oversee operations across Area Offices, driving prevention, preparedness, response and recovery for bushfires and emergencies. You will work with volunteers and staff, coordinating across multiple units and stakeholders to ensure effective incident response and resource readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience leading district-level operations during large-scale incidents.
• Ability to coordinate volunteers and staff across multiple units.
• Strong understanding of resource and asset management within emergency services.

• Lead and coordinate RFSQ operations during major incidents and disasters.
• Oversee district asset management and procurement to ensure ready response capabilities.
• Manage senior on-call roster and district-wide staffing levels.
• Coordinate bushfire mitigation activities and debriefs across the district.
• Contribute to capability and strategic planning at district level.
