Job summary

Rural Fire Service Queensland (RFSQ) invites applications for an Area Inspector role within the Queensland Government. You will lead Area teams, manage resources, and oversee bushfire preparedness and incident response to support volunteers and brigades.

Reporting to the Executive Manager District Coordination, you will work with stakeholders across Local Government Areas to deliver area-wide programs and ensure readiness for large-scale incidents, including deployment and on-site command as

Responsibilities

• Lead the Area team in the execution of Regional strategic and operational plans to support brigades and volunteers.
• Manage organisational change programs through regular consultation with staff and volunteers to embed reforms.
• Act as Chief Fire Warden for the Area and support prescribed burns and the Permit to Light System.
• Coordinate with Regional Duty Manager to maintain operational awareness and respond to large fires.
• Oversee human and physical resources to maintain operational capacity and readiness.
