Job summary

Queensland Fire & Emergency Services in Maryborough is seeking an Executive Manager [District Coordination] to oversee operations across Area Offices, drive excellence in prevention, preparedness, response and recovery for bushfires and other emergencies in the Wide Bay Burnett district.

Reporting to the Assistant Chief Officer District, you will provide operational leadership to staff and volunteers, coordinate resources and assets, engage with stakeholders, and ensure effective planning,

Qualifications

Must meet the mandatory requirements as outlined in the generic RFSQ Superintendent role description.
Knowledge of or experience in resource management appropriate to volunteers for the prevention, preparedness, response and recovery phases in community support.
Experience in or knowledge of the concepts, strategies and issues associated with managing a volunteer environment.
Be able to meet the attributes of the generic Superintendent, (RFSQ) role description.

Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and coordinate RFSQ operations during large-scale multi-agency incidents with district-wide impact.
Oversee management and purchasing of district operational assets, including fleet and equipment.
Ensure operational capacity and capability across the District for staff and volunteers.
Liaise with Bushfire Mitigation to oversee district activities and debriefs.
Contribute to capability planning, regional strategies, and district risk management.
Support budget oversight and internal financial controls for district programs.
