• Coordinate supervisors, subcontractors, engineers, and field personnel to ensure safety, schedule, and budget.
• Monitor project performance, quality outcomes, productivity, and compliance with client, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Drive a strong safety culture through leadership, risk management, inspections, mentoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.

About The Opportunity

Genus is seeking an experienced Distribution Construction Manager – OHL to join our team and support the delivery of our Decarbonisation Project - Solomon West 33kV Distribution Network.

Genus has been engaged to deliver the construction of the Solomon West 33kV Distribution Network for FMG's Decarbonisation Project, including the installation, construction, commissioning support, and verification of overhead and underground electrical infrastructure at the Solomon Mine Site.

This greenfield construction project requires strong leadership, project coordination, stakeholder management, and technical expertise, and a commitment to safety, quality, environmental compliance, and operational excellence in a remote mining and high-voltage construction environment.

Your Day-to-day Activities Will Include

• Leading the safe delivery of overhead distribution line construction activities and managing site construction teams to achieve project objectives.
• Coordinating supervisors, subcontractors, engineers, and field personnel to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Monitoring project performance, quality outcomes, productivity, and compliance with client, regulatory, and company requirements.

What You Will Bring To The Team

• Trade qualification in Electrical, Powerline, Utilities, Construction or a related discipline, together with supervisory/frontline leadership qualifications.
• Demonstrated experience managing overhead powerline, utility, electrical infrastructure, or major construction projects within mining, resources, utilities or energy sectors.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, project planning, contractor management, safety leadership, risk management, budgeting, and communication skills.
