Job summary

InstantScripts Pharmacy Health Hub Amberly Park is seeking a part-time Dispense Technician to join our Narre Warren South team in Victoria. You will assist in accurate prescription dispensing under pharmacist supervision and maintain patient records to support patient safety and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognised pharmacy technician or dispense technician qualification or equivalent
• Knowledge of Pharmacy Board of Australia standards and pharmacy regulations
• Familiarity with pharmacy computer systems and electronic dispensing equipment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all dispensing activities

Responsibilities

• Accurately dispensing medications according to prescriptions under the supervision of registered pharmacists
• Labelling and packaging medications with precise instructions and safety information
• Maintaining meticulous records of dispensed medications and patient information in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Performing quality checks on dispensed items to ensure accuracy and compliance with pharmacy standards
• Managing pharmacy inventory, including stock rotation and restocking of medications and supplies
• Operating pharmacy dispensing systems and technology effectively and securely
• Assisting with administrative tasks including processing prescriptions and managing patient records
• Supporting the pharmacy team in providing a professional and welcoming environment for patients
• Adhering to all workplace health and safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organised dispensary

InstantScripts Pharmacy Health Hub Amberly Park is seeking a Dispense Technician to join our team in Narre Warren South, Victoria. This is a part-time position offering flexibility whilst contributing meaningfully to our pharmacy operations. As a Dispense Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and accurate preparation of medications for our patients. Your work will directly impact patient safety and satisfaction, making this a rewarding position within our healthcare-focused pharmacy.

Pharmacy assistant with FRED Dispensing experience are welcome to apply as well.

Key responsibilities

What we are looking for

• Availabilities to work on Tuesdays and Saturdays/Sundays, and ability to help cover shifts on other days
• Completion of a recognised pharmacy technician or dispense technician qualification or equivalent experience in a pharmacy environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all dispensing activities
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
• A reliable and professional approach to work with a strong commitment to patient safety
• Familiarity with pharmacy computer systems and electronic dispensing equipment
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and follow instructions from pharmacists
• Clear communication skills and a customer-focused approach to patient interactions
• Understanding of pharmaceutical terminology and common medications
• Current knowledge of pharmacy regulations, including the Pharmacy Board of Australia standards
