Job summary

Capital Transport is seeking a Dispatch Officer to join our NSW Contracts Division in Sydney. You will receive full training and development across daily allocation and management of our vehicles, working with a dedicated team to support our client base.

This junior role offers training and development opportunities within a dynamic national logistics group, with a focus on customer service excellence and safe, efficient dispatch operations.

Qualifications

• Experience not required; full training provided.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
• Sound knowledge of the Sydney metro area is advantageous.
• Data entry skills at an intermediate level.
• Positive, proactive attitude with strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Allocate work to contractors ensuring service parameters are met.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and sub-contractors.
• Maintain professional written and verbal communication with clients and partners.
• Ensure client expectations are met in terms of time and quality of delivery of services.
• Observe OH&S requirements; training will be provided.
• Handle inbound/outbound customer service queries by phone and email.
• Process client bookings via phone and email; respond to delivery updates.
• Provide assistance to sub-contractor drivers as required.

An opportunity exists within our NSW Contracts Division for a Dispatch Officer. You will receive full training and development across daily allocation and management of our vehicles.

Operating our Sydney Depot location in Kemps Creek we provide client focused transport services, complemented by industry leading technology. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Allocating work to contractors ensuring service parameters are consistently met
• Effectively communicating with colleagues and sub-contractors
• Ensuring that all written and verbal communication with clients, colleagues & sub-contractors is always professional and courteous
• Ensuring that client expectations are met in terms of time and quality in the delivery of our services
• Being aware of OH&S requirements and responsibilities, training will be provided
• Inbound and outbound customer service/query calls.
• Processing of client bookings via phone and email.
• Immediate response to emails concerning delivery updates, proof of delivery requests or any other queries.
• Providing assistance/ additional information as required to our sub-contractor drivers.
