Job summary

Advantage Healthcare Support Nursing Agency in Sydney is seeking a compassionate Disability Support Worker to assist a young man living with profound physical disability and complex medical needs in Rouse Hill NSW 2155.

You will provide personal care, mobility support, and help with daily living tasks, while coordinating with the family and care team to promote independence, dignity, and community participation. Flexible shifts and supportive team environment offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Disability Support Worker.
• Experience with manual handling, hoists and other high-care skills.
• Ability to provide personal care, domestic assistance, and social support.
• Proactive approach to supporting clients to achieve goals and maintain community connections.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Physically capable of supporting regular outings and activities.

Responsibilities

We\'re hiring Disability Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Disability Support Worker to join a dedicated support team in Rouse Hill NSW 2155.

This opportunity is ideal for support workers seeking extra shifts to complement their existing schedule.

About The Role:

You will provide support:

• To a young male participant.
• Assisting with personal care and daily living activities.
• Assisting safe manual handling, transfers, and positioning (including hoist transfers).
• Mobility support and use of mobility equipment.
• Supporting participation in meaningful activities at home and in the community.
• Building a positive and respectful relationship with the participant.
• Following individual support plans and established care routines.

About You:

• Female (participant preference).
• Confident supporting people with complex physical disabilities.
• Experienced in manual handling and personal care.
• Calm, patient, and respectful.
• Reliable and committed to providing consistent support.
• Able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with families and support teams.
• Passionate about promoting dignity, choice, and inclusion.

Shifts Available (Ongoing):

• Monday 6:30-8:30am.
• Tuesday 4-6pm.
• Wednesday 4-6:30pm.
• Thursday 6:30-8:30am.

Additional shifts may be available in the future, subject to needs and roster availability.

What We\'re Looking For:
