Intelife is seeking Support Workers dedicated to empowering people with disabilities to achieve their goals and dreams. Join our team in Busselton for a meaningful, flexible role supporting individuals to live their lives to the fullest.

Based in Busselton, we offer casual shifts with potential advancement to part-time for the right candidates. You’ll work one-on-one, help with daily living, community activities, and personal development, guided by each participant's goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting people with disability.
• Experience in working with people with Dementia (including younger onset Dementia).
• Completed training in dementia.
• Completed training in Epilepsy Management.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to participants to build daily living independence.
• Engage participants in community activities and social connections.
• Support personal goals in fitness, employment and learning.
• Help participants develop new abilities aligned to their goals.

The Job

Join our team in a rewarding role supporting people with diverse abilities to achieve their goals and live their lives to the fullest. Based in Busselton, we currently have casual positions with potential advancement to part-time for the right candidates.

In this flexible, balanced role, you’ll work one-on-one with participants, helping them:

• Build independence through daily living skills
• Engage in community activities and social connections
• Pursue personal goals like fitness, employment, and learning
• Develop new abilities in areas that matter to them

Every day brings different experiences – from supporting someone at the gym, teaching public transport navigation, cooking together, or preparing for job interviews. Your work will be guided by each participant’s individual goals and aspirations.

Our Lifeskills program aims to assist participants:

• to develop life skills in the wider community by building independent skills with day-to-day tasks (e.g. cooking, daily living supports)
• to develop skills to prepare for independent living (money handling, budgeting, transport training)
• to access activities that will help them maintain their health and wellbeing (bowling, multisport, swimming)
• to achieve their goal of customised employment, which involves helping people with disabilities get a job.
