Job summary

Your Best Life Disability and Health Services in Tewantin, QLD, is seeking a dedicated care worker to join our SIL home. You will support client-centred daily living, including personal cares, mobility, and social activities, while building genuine connections with clients and families.

We require a Certificate III in Individual Support and experience in disability or aged care. First Aid/CPR, drivers licence, and checks are needed; shifts cover 24/7 rosters with varied hours at SCHADS Award

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support required.
• Experience in disability or aged care preferred.
• First Aid + CPR, Driver’s Licence, and relevant checks (NDIS/ WWCC).

Responsibilities

• Support client-centred daily living including personal cares and mobility.
• Assist with meals, showering, and daily routines.
• Join in social and recreational activities with clients.
• Maintain records and keep home clean, safe, welcoming.
• Provide care for clients with conditions like Parkinson's and diabetes.

What will you be doing?

• Supporting client-centred daily living through showering and other personal cares, meal management, and mobility assistance (including hoisting)
• Joining in on social and recreational activities
• Building genuine connections with clients and their families
• Keeping records and making sure the home is safe, clean, and welcoming
• Providing care to clients with support needs in relation to Parkinson's, cerebral palsy, diabetes, stoma care, pain management, cognitive impairments and intellectual disability.

What are we looking for?

• A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability, Aged Care, or similar)
• Experience working in disability or aged care
• First Aid + CPR, Driver’s Licence, and all the usual checks (NDIS, WWCC)
• You must be available across a 24/7 roster. Typical shifts are: 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm, and 10pm - 6am (Active)
• Great communication skills and a positive, client and team attitude
• We are a registered NDIS provider
• Be part of a dedicated team supporting participants in a local SIL home in Tewantin
• Pay in accordance with SCHADS Award, level 2.1 or 2.2, depending on Qualification.
• We provide ongoing training and professional development
