Queensland Government Disability Services is hiring a Disability Support Worker for Accommodation Support. You will assist participants with daily living, personal care, meals and safe activities within accommodation settings.

Role requires PBS-informed practice, trauma-aware care, and support to maintain family and advocate relationships while respecting rights and choices in daily life.

Qualifikationen

• Certificate IV in Disability Support (or equivalent) is required.
• RTO-issued First Aid certificate within 3 years and CPR within 12 months.
• National Disability Worker Screening clearance or willingness to obtain prior to induction.
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module completion or willingness to complete.

Aufgaben

• Perform daily household tasks: meals, cleaning, shopping, laundry and errands.
• Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, toileting and safety in mealtimes.
• Provide medication support, check dosages and monitor health needs.
• Deliver person-centred support for complex needs and promote wellbeing.
• Apply PBS strategies and trauma-informed approaches in care delivery.

Disability Services - Accommodation Support (DSAS) value strong partnerships and relationships with our participants, families, and carers. Our support enables participants to live a rewarding life that focuses on their interests, choices, and rights every day. Our support workers, known as Residential Care Officers, enrich clients' lives by ensuring they have the opportunity and support, tailored to their individual needs, to explore and participate in all aspects of their life.
