Job summary

Vitalis Healthcare at Home in Marsfield NSW is seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker to promote independence and well-being in clients' own homes. Your day will be varied, focusing on dignified personal care, companionship, and clear documentation to support care plans.

You will provide respectful daily living assistance, social support, and accurate reporting, with flexible hours and a supportive team including 24/7 coordination. A positive attitude and heart for care are essential.

Qualifications

• A current Australian Driver’s Licence and a reliable vehicle.
• A current Police Check and a First Aid & CPR certificate.
• The right to work in Australia (no student visas).
• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent experience.
• Desirable: Peg feeding, Pelican belts and Catheters.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care: assisting with daily living activities such as bowel care, showering and feeding.
• Companionship & Social Support: building relationships and community access.
• Professional Documentation: accurately completing documentation.

Your new role:

Your day will be varied and meaningful, focused on promoting independence and enhancing quality of life.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Personal Care:Providing respectful assistance with daily living activities such as complex bowel care, showering, feeding
• Companionship & Social Support:Building positive relationships through conversation, shared activities, and community access.
• Professional Documentation:Accurately completing documentation

About You:

We are looking for people with the right attitude and heart. Formal experience is valuable, but a genuine passion for care is essential.

• Essential:A current Australian Driver’s Licence and your own reliable, insured vehicle.
• Essential:A current Police Check (or willingness to obtain one) and a First Aid & CPR certificate.
• Essential:The right to work in Australia (no student visas)
• Highly Regarded:A Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or similar) or equivalent experience.
• Desired Experience: Peg feeding, Pelican belts and Catherters
• Availability:Flexibility between 8am - 1pm or 3pm to 8pm x 3 days per week (days to be determined).
