Job summary

Kanda is seeking a Disability Support Worker in Townsville, Australia. You will build genuine relationships with the people you support, with a consistent roster that works for you.

Choose permanent part-time for guaranteed contracted hours and ongoing employment, or casual for flexible shifts around your life. You’ll be doing personal care, daily living tasks, community access, and health routines, while documenting shift notes and following individual support plans.

Qualifications

• A current Australian driver’s licence (minimum P2).
• Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain them.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Supporting personal care, daily living and household tasks
• Assisting with community access, social activities and employment goals
• Supporting medication prompts and health routines
• Building positive, respectful relationships with participants and their families
• Documenting shift notes and following each participant's support plan
