Eden Ability is seeking a Disability Support Worker for the Eastern Suburbs, Mascot NSW. Start immediately to join a stable team supporting the same participants at one location.

Role involves assisting with mobility, personal care, medication administration and transport to activities. Requires Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent and willingness to rotate days, evenings, weekends and sleepovers.

Competenze

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent.
• Ability to work shift work, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to drive a wheelchair accessible van.
• Experience supporting people with psychosocial disability.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working with Children Check
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate
• National Police Check
• Current First Aid and CPR
• Infection control certificate
• Own mobile phone

Mansioni

Eden Ability is a registered NDIS provider based in Mascot. We run our own supported accommodation, so you would join a stable team supporting the same participants at one location rather than moving between homes.

Only apply for this position if you:

• Have no work restrictions in Australia
• Have a full Australian driver's licence
• Have at least 2 years experience in the disability sector
• Are available for day, evening, weekend and sleepover shifts

About the role

You will support participants with mobility needs with their daily living. Each shift includes:

• Meal preparation and meal support
• Administration of medication
• Personal care
• Hoist transfers and manual handling
• Using a vehicle wheelchair hoist and restraints, and transporting participants to community activities and medical appointments
• Domestic support in the home: vacuuming, mopping, laundry
• Bowel and catheter care
• Daily reporting on Eden Ability's reporting systems

Skills and experience

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
• Ability to work shift work, including nights and weekends
• Ability to drive a wheelchair accessible van
• Experience supporting people with psychosocial disability
• Experience in the tasks listed above
• Nursing or allied health qualifications highly regarded
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working with Children Check
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate
• National Police Check
• Current First Aid and CPR
• Infection control certificate
• Own mobile phone

Pay: base rate $35.55 to $41.49 per hour depending on level, Saturday $49.77, Sunday $63.99, public holidays $78.21. Casual, part time and full time positions available.
