Endeavour Foundation in Rockhampton is seeking a casual Disability Support Worker to provide person-centred care to clients with complex support needs across our services. 30 hours per fortnight are available, with shifts including weekdays, evenings and weekends. Sleepover and overnight shifts may be required.

We're looking for experienced Casual Disability Support Workers to join our team across Rockhampton and surrounding areas, supporting people with complex disability support needs.

You'll provide person-centred support in line with individual support plans and Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs). Depending on individual needs, your shifts may involve personal care, manual handling, medication support, behaviour support strategies, community access and helping people develop everyday living skills and greater independence.

At the heart of the role is providing consistent, respectful support that promotes each person's safety, wellbeing, choice and dignity.

As a casual team member, you'll provide flexible support across our services. We're seeking candidates with broad availability who can commit to 30 hours of availability per fortnight, including weekdays, evenings and weekends. Sleepover and active overnight shifts may also be required.

As this is a casual position, shifts are offered based on operational requirements and hours are not guaranteed.

Key Duties Include

• Providing person-centred support to people with complex disability support needs.
• Following individual support plans and Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
• Responding calmly and consistently to behaviours of concern using agreed strategies.
• Supporting people to build independence, everyday living skills and achieve their NDIS goals.
• Assisting with personal care, manual handling and medication support where required.
• Supporting participation in community, recreational and social activities.
• Building positive relationships that promote choice, dignity and inclusion.
• Completing accurate progress notes, incident documentation and other required records.

Our Ideal Candidate

You'll be a calm, resilient and reliable Support Worker who can build trust, maintain professional boundaries and respond confidently in complex or challenging situations.

You'll understand that behaviour is a form of communication and bring patience, consistency and a person-centred approach to every shift.

Experience within disability, mental health, complex care, SIL, residential care or another relevant support environment will be highly regarded.

To Be Successful, You Will Have

• Previous experience supporting people with disability and/or complex support needs is highly desirable.
• A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), Community Services or a related qualification will be highly advantageous.
• Experience supporting people who may display behaviours of concern.
• An understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and the ability to follow support plans and PBSPs.
• Confidence supporting personal care and daily living activities where required.
• Strong communication, observation and documentation skills.
• A current Driver Licence, reliable vehicle and comprehensive insurance.
