Job summary

Life Without Barriers is offering casual Disability Support Worker roles in Mackay, supporting people with disability in community and SIL settings. Shifts are largely one-on-one in the community with some SIL shifts. We seek patient, compassionate individuals who support independence, daily living, and community participation.

Applicants must follow procedures and support plans, and staff will clear probity checks including criminal history, Blue Card, and NDIS clearance where required.

About the roles

We have multiple casual opportunities available to actively support people with disability in Mackay across Lifestyle and Supported Independent Living (SIL) settings. Most shifts will involve supporting clients one-on-one out in the community, with occasional SIL shifts available. The people we support are unique, with individual needs, preferences, and goals, and we are looking for passionate support workers who are proactive in supporting them in their day-to-day lives, helping create meaningful moments.

This position is for someone who is patient, compassionate, and committed to providing person-centred support. You will support people with disability to develop and maintain their independence, participate in their communities and achieve their individual goals. Safety is a key priority, and applicants must be able to follow procedures and support plans.
