Job summary

Cootharinga in North and Far North Queensland is seeking caring individuals to support people with disability to live independently and participate in daily life. You’ll provide personal care, meal support, mobility assistance, and help people attend appointments and community activities.

We offer award conditions with hourly rates, paid training and development, and opportunities to advance across roles. A supportive, person-centred team environment awaits.

Qualifications

• A passion for people and a focus on great customer service.
• Commitment to working together to deliver great outcomes.
• Great listening and respectful communication skills.
• Current First Aid & CPR certificates (or willing to obtain).
• Blue Card & NDIS Worker Screening Check (we can help you get these).
• Driver’s licence and/or reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• No two days are the same — you’ll be supporting people to live independently and do the things that matter to them.
• Personal care (showering, dressing, toileting).
• Helping with meals, cleaning and daily tasks.
• Supporting someone to get out into the community.
• Attending appointments or social activities.
• Medication support.
• Assisting with mobility (including hoists where required).

What You Will Be Doing

No two days are the same — you’ll be supporting people to live independently and do the things that matter to them.

This Could Include

• Personal care (showering, dressing, toileting)
• Helping with meals, cleaning and daily tasks
• Supporting someone to get out into the community
• Attending appointments or social activities
• Medication support
• Assisting with mobility (including hoists where required)

Shifts available

Shifts are available across a variety of times, and we will work with you to build a permanent roster that suits your availability.

• Early mornings (from 6am)
