Hireup is seeking experienced and resilient Support Workers in the Bligh Park area to provide dedicated care for a client with complex behavioural needs. The role requires navigating challenging behaviours, using non-restrictive strategies, and building rapport with the client.

Must have experience with behavioural support and relevant documents (NDIS checks, First Aid, WWC). Hours include Monday, Thursday, and likely Friday 3:30 pm–7:30 pm, with flexibility for the right candidate.

Formación

• Experience with behavioural support is a must.
• Desirable: experience supporting children with Autism/ADHD.
• Credentials: NDIS Worker Screening Check, NDIS Worker Orientation, First Aid, Working with Children Check (must have).

Responsabilidades

• Provide dedicated care for a client with complex behavioural needs.
• Navigate challenging behaviours using non-restrictive strategies.
• Build rapport and a trusting professional relationship with the client.
• Support during afternoon/evening shifts (Mon, Thu, (Fri) 3:30 pm–7:30 pm).

What are we looking for?

We are seeking experienced and resilient Support Workers in the Bligh Park area to provide dedicated care for a client with complex behavioural needs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of navigating challenging behaviours, utilising non-restrictive strategies, be active and enjoy physical activities, and be willing to spend time building rapport and a trusting professional relationship with the client.

Experience with behavioural support is a must!

Desirable experience and qualifications include:

• Supporting children diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, or similar
• Certificate 3 or higher in disability care or similar
• Supporting clients who may abscond or, at times of escalation, may be aggressive

Must have the following documents:

• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• Full First Aid
• Working with Children Check

Monday, Thursday, and possibly Friday - 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm (days can be flexible for the right candidate)
