Job summary

iConnect Life is seeking casual Disability Support Workers to join our team across the Tweed Heads and Southern Gold Coast areas. You will assist clients with daily living tasks, personal care, meal prep, and community access, while respecting choices and privacy.

You will collaborate with families and the support network, promote independence, and adhere to the NDIS Code of Conduct. A current police check, first aid/CPR, Blue Card, and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Current police check (or willing to obtain).
• Current first aid and CPR certificate.
• Positive Notice Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
• National Disability Worker Screening Clearance.
• Unrestricted Driver's License.
• Reliable car with comprehensive insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assistance with daily living tasks such as personal care, preparation of meals and other general household tasks.
• Respond to clients’ needs and collaborate positively with their families, support people and others in their lives.
• Assist with clients’ daily activities and routines
• Promote independence, give choice, encourage inclusivity and respect the rights and privacy of individuals with disability
• Working within the context of the individuals’ ability, balance Duty of Care within the rights of the individual.
• Work within the NDIS Code of Conduct
• Work with the support team to ensure quality and continuity of care
• Provide individuals access to the Community through transport, assisting on social outings, and participating in activities
• Be proactive to continually educate yourself on the specific needs of participants and conditions.
