Job summary

Southern Cross is seeking Disability Support Workers to support a 42-year-old male in his own home around the Coffs Harbour/Lismore area. The role emphasizes values such as care, respect, innovation, teamwork and integrity, aligning with Southern Cross's culture.

The position is contractor-based, with shifts including Monday and Wednesday mornings, and requires a valid driver’s license, own car, and mandatory checks/certifications.

Qualifications

• Certificate III (Ageing and Disability) or equivalent is mandatory.
• NDIS workers screening check or willing to obtain.
• First Aid certificate or willing to obtain.
• WWCC (Working with Children’s Check) or willing to obtain.
• Current driver’s license and own car are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Domestic assistance – includes vacuuming, mopping, ironing and general household duties.
• Meal preparation.
• Medication monitoring.
• Reporting and documentation.
