Job summary

Newcastle Anglican is seeking caring individuals to support people living with a disability in Taree. The role offers part-time and casual positions with rotating rosters, including overnight and weekend work; overnight shifts are required.

You will work in a strengths-based, person-centred service, helping participants achieve their goals and reach their potential. A pre-employment medical, NDIA worker checks, First Aid, and a valid driver’s licence are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate with participants and families with empathy.
• Pre-employment medical, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, First Aid required.
• Must have a valid driver’s licence and be able to work a rotating roster including overnights.

Responsibilities

• Support participants with daily living activities, health needs, and transport.
• Assist with community involvement, meal planning, and personal care.
• Support emotional well-being and behaviour management in a person-centred approach.

What we’re looking for

• You will support household activities, medical and health needs, attending community events/activities, personal care, meal management, transport, communication, and managing emotions and behaviours.

About you

• Empower participants you support- 'Do With' not 'Do For'
• Complete a pre-employment medical, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, First Aid and have a valid driver’s licence.

• Preferably be able to work a Rotating roster including some weekends and sleep overs/active night & split shifts.
