Job summary

Samaritans is seeking compassionate support workers to assist individuals living with a disability across Jilliby, Morisset, Point Clare and Gosford. The role offers part-time and casual SIL shifts, including nights and weekends, on a rotating roster.

You will help with daily living activities, health needs, transportation and community participation while upholding a strength-based, person-centred approach. Pre-employment checks and a valid driver’s licence are required.

What we’re looking for

• You will support household activities, medical and health needs, attending community events/activities, personal care, meal management, transport, communication, and managing emotions and behaviours.

About you:

• Be open to having conversations & be a good listener, without judgement
• Show initiative & think outside the box
• Empower participants you support- 'Do With' not 'Do For'
• Complete a pre-employment medical, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, First Aid and have a valid driver’s licence.
• Preferably be able to work a Rotating roster including some weekends and sleep overs/active night & split shifts.
